Welcome to 2023 aspring writers, authors of the world!

First, we have some news -we are getting some minor functionalities coded! Towards a final beta application ready for mass usage. But until then, I want to loquaciously entice you with one of the big various mediums, styles and genres of the wonder that is the art of writing.

But today’s topic of discussion – Poetry. And why you should try it if you haven’t before.

If you haven’t tried sorting your feelings about all things real and unreal in the universe, then try writing a poem. It could be about yourself, someone you like, about anything you can imagine. What is poetry?

Poetry is a medium of discourse and a whole lotta fun if you’ve never experimented.
It is not as what people make mistakes a form of procession or the mind or thought. Instead, poetry is about expressing one’s feelings. For that treason, poetry is a powerful means of cathartic self-expression and expounding oneself through creativity and language. To provide information about the subtle part of consciousness and meaning back to the mind.

Here are five reasons why I think poetry is a beautiful medium to begin experimenting with…

1. Like music, writing poetry is a fantastic medium to sort out your feelings about life.

By negative or positive feelings, poetry, like music or journalling it, is an art form created by an artist – an expression of one’s feelings on a topic, reality or the greater universe lain before us all. Also, it is an entirely valid form for inner soul searching and finding ways to convey meaning the subconscious mind cannot conceive.

It allows one to feel the emotional landscapes that we haven’t witnessed or let the mind’s tendrils feel into oneself grand reflection.

2. Poetry is an ancient 5,000 world old tradition of language and a path of subtle conveyance.

Yes, the medium of poetry is over 5,000 years old! The oldest poems go back to the times of pre-oral tradition of the Riga Vedas from Hinduism. The Epics of Gilgamesh and Homer’s Iliad are all considered epic works of poetic versions…

The tradition of rhythmic constraints is not necessary. Poetry doesn’t have to rhyme to be considered successful. Non-rhyming is also a powerful tool for reality depiction or self-introspection.

3. Poetry is accessible and comes in wide varieties, shapes and forms.

Poems can be short, lengthy or epic in the word count. The lines can be fast and emotive or extended with complex imagery. They can be as short as a few words or as complex as 10,000 or more lines. More ambitious poets attain a larger count for their works, but one can start anywhere.

4. Poetry further expands human consciousness through direct communication by exposing its subtleness.

Poetry helps to expand the process of our communications. How? by analysing the subtleness of what we cannot express through logic and rationality. It combs what the mind does not conceive or process – and converts it to meaningful communication.

5. Poetry is easier to learn and finish and more fulfilling to master than most other written communication mediums, and simpler to find validation externally.

The conveyance of feelings, messages, ideas, and concepts through poems requires skill to expose and reflect. Such reflections bring much-needed introspection in a world flooded with formless ideas.

All in all end result is a real expression expounded in an accessible form for people to read, indulge and admire.  If you want to try something new and be classified as an artist, Try writing a poem about something today.a
